This addition proposes a master bedroom, bath, and closet to replace the roof above an existing one story kitchen to the rear of the house. Taking clues from the geometries and materials of the c.1910 home, the "butterfly" roof mirrors the existing roof slopes while new ship-lap siding continues the spacing of the original lap siding. More traditional "punch" windows used on the side walls contrast with the rear elevation's large glass openings that offer views of the garden from above.
